Grappling Industries looks to the future in announcing its independence from associations in Ontario.
Grappling Industries will be leaving the sanctioning of the Ontario Grappling Alliance, the OGA, and will become an independent tournament of the two associations currently in Ontario.
Grappling Industries will not act as a sanctioning body or as a supplier of insurance to other’s events; that is the responsibility of the associations set in Ontario, the Ontario Jiu-Jitsu Association and the Ontario Grappling Alliance.
Important changes to take note of include that there will be no additional fees and paperwork asked of competitors at the door of our events, or membership cards issued to an association. Our prices in ONTARIO will thus be altered to $70 for 1 division and $90 for 2 divisions for adults, and $50 for 1 division and $65 for 2 divisions for kids and teens. This will be paid during pre-registering for the event.
We do not want this announcement to be taken as a dismissal of the OGA by Grappling Industries but as a Thank You note to the OGA and in particular, Rohit Seth. The OGA accepted us into their association with open arms, kept a high pace of working alongside us and consulting, and allowed us to grow while consistently supporting us in everything we chose to do. Most of all, Rohit Seth has always had our back and even in this announcement plans to continue his ongoing support for us, so please recognize we plan to always have his and the Ontario Grappling Alliance’s back.
We would like to thank the Ontario Grappling Alliance and very particularly Rohit Seth from the bottom of our hearts for helping us develop our brand and giving us this opportunity; we hope we can continue to make you proud of us.
